This prestigious exam, also known as the Young Scientist Competition or Bal-Vaidnyanik Spardha is a science competitive exam for 6th and 9th Std students. Around 40,000 students all over Maharashtra appear for the first level.
It is conducted in 3 phases (levels):
Level 1 – Theory Exam (Objective test of 100 questions, 1.5 hrs)
Level 2 – Practical Exam (Students have to do experiments and write answers)
Level 3 – Interview and Project Work
This exam tests fundamental understanding of science concepts. The questions asked are tricky unlike simple school tests.
Top 7 – 10 % students from each level get selected for the next level. After last level, students secure Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals.

Where do I see the result?
- Results are announced on the site http://www.msta.in
- Result is also sent on the registered mobile number of the student
- Result also comes to the school through which you have registered
What if my school does not fill the form?
The form can be filled online individually. Read the instructions on the official website.
How to get the hall ticket?
- Print the hall ticket from the official site and get it signed and stamped from the school.
- Some enthusiastic schools provide hall tickets to the students.
